If you're planning to visit Florida, it's useful to know there is an alternative to staying in an hotel and that is to rent someone's home - known as vacation home rental.

It's probably best to rent through an established rental agency ( see resource box below) or travel agent to ensure that the appropriate rental agreement and insurance are in place and be sure to check the inventory as soon after arrival as possible and note any damage to the property and contents.
